    It is hard to argue with the claim that 'theological education began in the Middle East', but what is the reality today?   with the global traditions and realities of theological education.  The 'Selfies from...' series produced by the ICETE Academy will help you grow in your global awareness of theological education.  
    This course will help you grow in your global awareness as you listen to leaders from the region share about the history, challenges and opportunities of theological education in the Middle East.  You will also find up to date perspectives on issues such as the relationship of theological education with the government and the church, graduate destinations and the interplay between academics, ministry training, character education and spiritual formation in holistic curricula. 
    If you are a theological educator that operates in the region, a donor, a prospective faculty member, a visiting lecturer, or someone who wants to be informed and pray intelligently for the Middle East and North Africa, then this course is for you.              

    Course Outcomes

    The outcomes of this course will be a greater knowledge and understanding of the complex and rich history and current dynamics of theological education in the Middle East and North Africa.

    Authorship

    This course is authored by Grace Al-ZoughbiGrace is a Christian Palestinian born and raised in Bethlehem who has served as a lecturer in Biblical Studies and Theology and developed many courses in the area of Biblical Studies at Bethlehem Bible College in Bethlehem where she has also been Head of the Biblical Studies department. Grace currently serves as a member of the MENATE (Middle East and North Africa Association of Theological Education) accrediting committee. 

    The course also benefits from the contributions of various leaders in theological institutions in the region.
